The 63rd Republic Day Celebrations at various places in Odisha

The 63rd Republic Day Celebrations of India were celebrated in a grand manner at various places of Odisha on 26th January 2012. The 26th January of every is celebrated as the Republic Day of India in which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 by replacing the Government of India Act 1935. So, In order to remember this date of the governing document of India, This day has been celebrated as Republic day. The tricolor Indian Flag was hoisted by His Excellency Shri. Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare, The Governor of Odisha, during the Flag hoisting ceremony held at Bhubaneshwar which is the capital of Odisha and also delivered the Republic day speech. The Governor addressed about the various activities and the importance of the republic of India in his speech. Shri. Naveen Patnaik, The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha, hoisted the National Flag at Cuttack and delivered the Republic Day speech. In his address, He stated that the various progress and improvements in the Country as well as in the State. In his speech, He also noted about the various works have been done in the state and also addressed about the various future plans and work to be done in the state. The Republic day celebrations in various places of Odisha have been listed below with its activities.

The boycott for Republic day was called by Maoists in Odisha

The Maoists of Odisha had called for a boycott of the Republic day celebrations in Odisha on 26th January 2012. They had put up banners and posters on various places of Odisha, particularly in the southern and western parts of Odisha and also they were appealing the people to boycott the Republic Day celebrations. The Maoists also observed that the Republic day as a black day. But the Republic day celebrations were took place peacefully in all the places of Odisha. The huge number of people from different walks of life have participated in the celebrations, even there was a boycott called by Maoists. This shows the love and affection of Odisha people on the nation and also on the state. The women and children were attended in huge number on this celebrations.

The 63rd Republic Day celebrations in various Educational institutions at Odisha

The 63rd Republic day of India was celebrated on 26th January 2012 in various educational institutions at Odisha. The national flag was hoisted in various Primary elementary schools, Higher Secondary Schools by the School Head masters and sweets were distributed to the students. The Republic day speech was also addressed by the chief guest of the function. The various Dramas and cultural programmes were done by the school children to remember the various incidents of Republic day. The Republic day functions were also celebrated in various Government and Non Government Universities at Odisha in a very grand manner with flag hoisting and Republic day speech. The various Government and private Colleges in Odisha had also celebrated the 63rd Republic day with various events and programmes.

The 63rd Republic Day celebrations in various District head quarters and Government offices at Odisha

The 63rd Republic day was celebrated in various district's head quarters of Odisha in an effective manner. The district collectors hoisted the national flag in the respective district head quarters and delivered Republic day speech. The various welfare schemes for the improvement of district were also announced by the district collector in the function. The collectors of various districts were distributed many things like three wheel cycles for physically challenged persons, Tailoring machines for women and others. The various talent shows was shown by the persons in the Police, NCC and fire service department in the Republic day celebrations.

The Republic day functions were also conducted in many corporate offices and government offices of Odisha like Revue, Taluk, Electric Board, Water Board, Panchayat and agricultural offices. The respective higher officials in the offices were hoisted the national flag and also delivered the Republic day Speech. The sweets were distributed to the employees those who are working in the offices.
