Ranjan Dash is a famous Scientist of odisha. He was born in the year 1976 at Hillapalli village of Sambalpur district, Orissa. He is belonging to a Jhadua Brahmin family and his father name is Benudhar Dash and his mother name is Ambika Dash. Ranjan Dash had finished his school education in Sambalpur and he went to Rourkela for his College study. He completed his B.Tech. degree in Ceramic Engineering with honours at the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela in the year 1998. He did his research on Core technology of Y-Carbon is commercializing at A.J. Nanotechnology Institute. He received his Ph.D. degree in Material Science and Engineering at Drexel University in USA and He received MBA degree from the same University on the same period. He was the first student in that University to receive the dual degree within 4 years.

Ranjan Dash has worked in the Tata Refractories Limited from 1998 to 2000. He also worked in Network Program India Limited during the year 2002. Later, He went to USA for doing his research. He involved in research work at Drexel University in USA and completed his Ph.D. Degree there.
