Recruitment for the post of Post Graduate Teachers for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas

Applications are invited from the eligible Indian Citizens for the post of Post Graduate Teachers on Direct Recruitment Basis at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas all over the country. The details of the posts, eligibility, age etc. are as under.

Post Graduate Teachers for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas

Name of the Post: Post Graduate Teachers in English/Hindi/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/History/ Commerce/Economics/Biology/Geography.
No. Of posts: According to the requirement.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300 – 34800 at a grade pay of Rs. 4800

Age as on 30.11.2011 :
Candidate should not be more than 40 years.
The upper age limit is relaxable for the SC/ST candidates for 5 years, OBC for 3 years, Women for 10 years, Govt. Employees for 5 years and 10 years for PH candidates.

Essential Educational Qualification:

1. M.Sc. (Two years full time) from Regional College of education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate. (OR)

Masters Degree from a recognized university with 50% marks in aggregate in English/Hindi/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/History/Commerce/Economics/Biology/Geography.

2. B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

3. Proficiency in English and Hindi language.

Experience in working as TGT in a recognized institution/ Working in a residence school in the above mentioned subjects and Computer knowledge is desirable qualification.

Mode of Selection for the post:
The Written Exam. For the recruitment of the above post will be conducted on 32 centres all over the country. The written test will consist of one Paper (General Aptitude, Language Proficiency & Content Knowledge Tests) of 240 questions/3 hrs duration common for all posts. The written examination is going to be conducted on 19th February 2012. Schedule of the examination will be intimated on February 2012 on website www.navodaya.nic.in.

Fees for the Examination:
A non-refundable fee of Rs. 540.00 is payble in the form of Bank Challan depositing in any branches of Union Bank of India. The Challan form can be downloaded from the web site www.navodaya.nic.in

How to Apply for the post of Post Graduate Teachers for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas

Candidates have to apply online only by visiting the Recruitment Page of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti's website www.navodaya.nic.in. No other means of application is admissible.

No print out of the application is to be sent to Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. However, the candidates are required to keep the Original Challan and the Printed application form along with the photo to be submitted during written exam.
