What is National Institute of Open Schooling ?
National Institute of Open Schooling, it is the largest Open Schooling System in the World, and it is an autonomous organization under the ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India. This organization helps to complete the secondary and senior secondary education for the discontinued students. It organizes its examinations under Government of India at par with CBSE/CISCE.
This organisation have two categories.
Senior Secondary level.
Admission in Secondary(X) level in National Institute of Open Schooling
Name of the Course: Secondary (Equivalent to Class X)
Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must be completed 14 years as on 31st January 2012. He must passed Class VIII
Admission in Senior Secondary(XII) level in National Institute of Open Schooling
Name of the Course: Senior Secondary (Equivalent to intermediate level)
Eligibility Criteria: The Candidate must be completed 15 years as on 31st January 2012. He must have passed secondary level or Class X from any recognized Board.
Silent features of National Institute of Open Schooling
1) Admission will valid for 5 years.
2) Free to choose NIOS study centers.
3)Choice of subjects. Candidates can choose their subjects.
4) On demand Examination. It is depend on the candidate that he may or may not appear in the examination.
Last date of Admission in National Institute of Open Schooling
Last date of admission is up to Date: 29 - 02 - 2012 (Without any fine)
However students can take admission up to Date: 15 - 03 - 2012 (With fine of Rs: 200)
