There are 27 new engineering colleges were established during 2009. GIET, Baniatangi of Bhubaneswar came out to be the best choice college out of them by filled up highest number of seats. During 2010 there were 93 self financing engineering colleges in orissa. Out of them GIET, Baniatangi of Bhubaneswar occupied the 10th position, in filling up of the seats. This proves that this college is preferred over 83 Engineering colleges of Orissa. The college is mainly famous for its excellent and dedicated faculty members with rich experience.
