Eligibility criteria

Ordinarily a candidate should have passed three years degree examinations in arts/ science/ commerce of sambalpur university or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Academic Council of Sambalpur University with Honors in the concerned subject/ allied subject/ pass with 45% marks in aggregate. For students belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe, the prescribed qualifying marks for admission to P.G. Courses/ Self-financing Courses shall not be insisted upon.

Candidates who have appeared the qualifying examination and results awaited are also eligible to apply. Such candidates should produce the results of the qualifying examination on or before the date of entrance test, otherwise his/her application for admission shall be rejected.

How to apply

Application for and prospectus can be had on cash payment of Rs.200/- for Regular P.G. Courses and Rs.450/- for Self-financing Courses from P.G. Central Office on working days during office hours or by registered post on payment of Rs.250/- for Regular P.G. Course and Rs. 500/- for Self-financing Courses in shape of payee bank draft drawn in favor of Chairman,P.G.Council, Sambalpur University payable at State bank of India, Jyoti Vihar Branch (code -6672). Downloaded form should accompany with an account of Chairman, P.G. Council, Sambalpur University payable at State Bank of India, Jyoti Vihar Branch (Code-6672) towards the cost of application form. While submitting application candidates are required to pay another Rs.200/- towards the Entrance Test Fee in favor of Chairman, P.G.Council in the shape of account payee Bank Draft/Banker's cheque payable at State Bank of India, Jyoti Vihar Branch (Code-6672) in addition to the cost of application form as mentioned above.

Last date of receipt of application

The application for duly filled in along with a crossed bank draft/ banker's cheque (for Jyoti Vihar) for Rs. 200/- drawn in favor of Chairman, P.G.Council, Sambalpur University payable at State Bank of India, Jyoti Vihar Branch (Code-6672) towards fee for Entrance Examination Test shall be submitted to the chairman, P.G. Council, Sambalpur University, Jyoti Vihar on or before 08.06.2011.
No application received thereafter shall be entertained. The university authority shall not be held responsible for any postal delay.
