ITI stand for Industrial Training Institutes and there are many ITI's in Orissa.
Here students can take admission and study in different specialization in Electrical,mechanical and many others. ITI is India's ery known institute also known as ITI school which has popular demand in job markets.

Admissions to ITI's in Orissa

Age Limit of students for admission in ITI

The students must be 14 years to 40 years which will be calculated on the date of admission to be eligible for admission in ITI.
There is age relaxation for ex-servicemen and war widows which is up to 45 years.Age relaxation for physically handicapped person is 10 years.

Qualification Required for admission in ITI

Reservation of Seats for admission in ITI

Reservations of seats in ITI's in Orissa are described below.
1- For all students from Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes are same as their population percentage in Orissa.

2-For women candidates in Orissa 25% seats are reserved which will be filled in accordance to the reservation policy stated by government of Orissa. The total reservation can't exceed 50% in any circumstances. If the Quota seats are vacant then it will be transferred to the general category or male category.

3- For students who came from any orphanage societies , no reservations are available for them but preference will given to them during the admission process in respective ITI's.

4- 3% seats are reserved for physically handicapped persons to the schemes Apprenticeship Training and Craftsmen Training. For this the students must show competitive aptitude and scholarships.

5- Upto 10 seats can be reserved for Ex-servicemen and they will be given priority at the time of admission . Ex-servicemen includes Defence professionals,Children of deceased/disabled ex- servicemen,Children of Service-men's who are killed during war,Children of serving jawans,Children of ex-servicemen,Children of serving officers etc. This Reservation can be changed in each ITI's in Orissa depending upon their capacity in respective trades.

Selection Criteria for admission in ITI

Selection of students for admission in ITI's (Industrial Training Institutes) will start well before the session for that year starts. Session of ITI's starts every year on 1st of February and 1st of August.All admission process will be completed fully before the start of the session in respective ITI's.
Admission may continue after the sessions starts if the seats are vacant and its solely the decision of respective ITI's but it can't be more than a month for 2 year courses and not more than 15 days for one year courses.

Prospectus for admission into ITI's in Orissa can be obtained from state Directorate or from the principal of respective Industrial Training Institutes and it will also be available on once available.
