The applicant besides a good writer with command over Odia language, should possess journalistic acumen, proficiency in computer operation, knowledge in modern technology to handle efficiency the news and materials for publication and all requisite qualities in order to perform the duties and responsibilities of an editor professionally as enjoined under the law. Above all, he should have the leadership quality to lead the entire editorial team of 'The Samaj'.

Experience Required for Editor Job in The Samaj Newspaper: The candidate should have 10 years of experience in media organization and at least 5 years in a senior position.

Age limit for Editor Job in The Samaj Newspaper: Upper age limit is 55 years for Editor post in The Samaj.

Qualification Required for Editor Job in The Samaj Newspaper: The candidate should be Graduate or Post Graduate. Preference for any degree in journalism and mass communication.

Salary, Perks & Allowances for Jobs in The Samaj Newspaper of Orissa

i) Tenure: Both the editor and general manager shall be on contract for a period of 3 years and to be renewed from time to time for a period of one year.

ii) Salary and perks: Salary would not be constraint and open for negotiation.

iii) The Joint general manager shall be provided with car allowance plus mobile/ telephone and other facilities as per rules.

iv) Both Editor and general manager shall be provided with car, driver, mobile/telephone and other facilities as per rule.

v) The upper age limit can be relaxed in suitable cases.
