Childhood of Netaji

Subhash Chandra Bose, very popular with the name "Netaji", was born on 23rd January, 1897. Though he belongs to a Bengal family, his birth place is Cuttack, Orissa. He was the 9th child of Janakinath Bose and Prabhabati Devi. Today on the occasion of his birth anniversary, let's remember the greatest hero of Indian history.

Controversy Surrounding Death of Subhash Bose

It has been assumed that he died on 18th August, 1945 in a plane crash in Taiwan. On his way to Tokyo, the plane crashed and he succumbed to death 4 hours after the incident. His body was cremated there. The said facts were given by Captain Yoshida, who was accompanying him in the trip. Thinking about this great hero who can easily fool the complete British Empire, it became hard to believe that he died. And as no one could trace his dead body, neither the British Government nor the Indians believed that, Netaji died in that crash.

Commission to Prove the Death of Subhash Bose

Later several committees have been formed to solve the mystery of his death. The committees gave their finding to the Govt. which suggests of his death in the crash however none of the initial committees has visited or seek clarification from the Taiwan Government where the plane crashed! The reason they gave is they don't have a very good diplomatic relation with Taiwan! It's only during late nineties; the Mukherjee commission went to Taiwan for seeking further information on Subhash Bose's death controversy. Their finding took everyone into surprise. They revelead that, no plane crash took place on 18th August, 1945! The Indian Government rejected this committee report with out giving any justification on the same.

It is a much known fact that the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi and Subhash Bose are not very much in sync with. Where the father of Nation always stood by his theory of non-violence, Subhash openly supported the movements of Bhagat Singh and other hard liners of that time. Subhash was gaining so much popularity that; he has been given the presidential post in Congress. But later, he quit the party and form his own party, "Forward Block". Congress always considered Bose's popularity as a threat to their party. Now after so many unsolved questions floating in the air, it has been also alleged that Congress was not very keen to solve the case of this National Hero.
