World Cup Cricket 2011

The World cup Fever is on. This time the host countries are India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The World Cup will begin from 19th February, 2011. There are 14 countries who will take part in this biggest sports event of the World. All the teams have been grouped into two categories. The Group "A" is having countries like Australia, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Canada & Kenya. The Group "B" is having teams like India, South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Netherlands & Ireland.

The first phase will have matches with in the same group. So there would be around 42 matches in the phase one. Then 4 teams from each group will qualify for quarter final. There would be 4 quarter final, followed by two semi-finals and finally the final. In all we will witness 49 matches. The two semi-finals will be held at Colombo and Mohali respectively.
