Planning of International Airport in Bhubaneswar

Airport Authority of India has declared to make Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik airport to a International airport. For this major upgradation work is going on in the airport. The airport is expanded and aquired a major amount of nearby lands. One of the city road has been blocked for this expansion. The runway is being extended to accomodate big flights like Boeing and Air Bus A340 flights. One new International Terminal will also be constructed to places facilities like Immigration, Custom,Duty Free Area to accomodate large number of passengers.
