K Ravi Kumar's full Name is Katulu Ravi Kumar, He is 22 years old from Berhampur Ganjam a City in Orissa.
Ravi Won Gold medal in 69 KG weight Lifting category in Commonwealth games held in Delhi in 2010.

Ravi, who set a record by lifting 321kg in the men's 69kg category on October 6 was congratulated by Orissa chief minister Sri Naveen Pattnaik. He was awarded Rs 10 lakh and a land by the state Government.

He broke the Games record lifting 321 kg (146+175) and surpassed Cameroon's Venecelas Dabaya's total of 310kg. The 22-year-old from Orissa was always the runaway favorite having lifted a combined 307kg to win the Commonwealth title in 2009, 22kg more than his closest rival in the field Mohammad Talib of Malaysia. It should be noted that Ravi Kumar had won three gold medals and silver in the Senior Nationals held in Udaipur in February.

Currently in Orissa only Kalinga Stadium Bhubaneswar has the facility of Weightlifting practise. Ravi wants to set up an Weightlifting academy in Berhampur in the name of Sri Biju Pattnaik, former chief minister and father of Sri Naveen Pattnaik.
We all Oriya and Indians are hoping to get one more record breaking performance from him in the Asian games to be held from November 12 to 25 at Guangzhou in China.
