Orissa's K. Ravi Kumar won a gold medal in Commonwealth Games weightlifting by creating a new commonwealth games record.

Orissa's K. Ravi Kumar won a gold in ongoing commonwealth games in Delhi 2010 in a weightlifting event on Wednesday, 06th Oct 2010. He won the gold for India in the men's 69kg category.

He created history by breaking the commonwealth games record by lifting 321 kg (146+175) and surpassing the previous games record set by Venecelas Dabaya's of Cameroon total of 310kg. Ravi Kumar who had won three gold medals and silver in the Senior Nationals held in Udaipur in February this year was ecstatic with his performance.

Yes,really Rabisankar is the proud of orissa.It is not a small job to get gold medal in common wealth games.we wish a very bright carrier of him.
