Nandankanan is a zoo and has a beautiful park or you say a biological park 20 kms from Bhubaneswar which was established on 29th December 1960. It covers the vast expansion of the Chandaka forest where the flora and fauna flourish in their most natural habitat and environment.
The entry fees ranges from 15-25 rupees. There are gets house and for details you may contact the director of Nandankanan.

With many first to its credit, the park is an extremely interesting place for visitors. The first captive gharial breeding centre is here. Did you know about it before? Gharials are crocodiles. The zoo at Nadankanan is well known internationally for its white tigers. In 1980 for the first time 3 white tiger cubs were born from normal colored tiger parents. It is pretty much interesting fact to be known.

There are many other fun likes lion safari, aerial ropeway, cable car, toy train and boating.

Not only tigers but there are many species of monkeys, birds, snakes etc. There are hippos, lizards, lions, etc.You can enjoy a lot.
