Dr. Ramachandra Mohanty, retired Professor of Utkal University has been selected as Emeritus Scientist by CSIR (Council of Scientific & Industrial Research), India.

Dr. Ramachandra Mohanty was a Professor in Botany Department, Utkal University for 35 years. At present he is the President of U.G.C. Academy College in Utkal University. Professor Ramachandra Mohanty is also a member of Orissa State Science Academy and Sate Environmental Appraisal Committee. He also has research experience in the area of Environment. More than 30 scholars have completed Ph.D under his guidance. His research papers have published in many National and Internation Journals which show his high level of research. Considering his contribution in the field of Botany and Environment, CSIR selected him for the prestigious Emeritus Scientist fellowship.
