it is found that the balangir district is showing signs of turning to a desert in 200 years.

Recent meteorological survey found out that balangir district is the worst effected by the desertification process,the district show a large number of signs of turning into a desert in near future.
The extreme difference in the maximum and minimum temperature,scarcity of rainfall,huge loss of green cover and the vegetation getting thorny are the signs shown by the district giving clear indications about the future.
