Malkanagiri is a beautiful place. Most of the part of Malkanagiri are covered by forest, hills and rivers. The Tribal People are another attraction of Malkanagiri.

Malkanagiri district of Orissa is a beautiful place which perfectly defines nature. Many parts of the district are covered by forests, hills, rivers. Many tribal people live in Malkanagiri district.

Bonda Hills

Bonda Hills is named after the tribal Community 'Bonda'. The place is covered by forests and the Bondas live in these jungles. The tribal Bonda people follow their old cultures till now. People believe that Devi Sita Cursed the Bonda people. There is a small pool known as Sita Kund and people believe that Devi Sita used to bath here.

Temples

Bhairavi Temple - This temple is located at a distance of 3 km from Malkanagiri. Daily a lot of people of Malkanagiri and of nearby area come to visit the Goddess. The Raja Rani Hill is situated in front of the temple.

Lord Shiva Temple - There is a Shiva Lingam near the Goi Hill. Thousands of people gather here during Shivratri Festival

Tarini Temple - This temple is 2 km away from Malkanagiri. The place where the temple is located has a pleasant scenic view which attracts many visitors.

Satiguda Dam

Satiguda Dam is 8 km away from Malkanagiri. There is boating facility available in the reservoir. The surroundings of the reservoir are very beautiful with green trees and hills. In the morning, the place has a panoramic view. This is a suitable picnic spot for many people.

Ammakunda

This a beautiful place, located at about 70 km from Malkanagiri Town. There is forest and waterfall which attracts many tourists. There is a small pool known as 'Ammakunda', surrounded by rocks. There are lot of fishes live in this pool.

Balimela

Balimela is 35 km away from Malkanagiri. There is a hydro-electric plant here. The river and surrounding hills make this place beautiful.

Moogi Point

This is the meeting point of two rivers, river Savari and river Sileru. This is a beautiful place to visit.

Tourists can meet many tribal people here and can know more about the tribal community, tribal culture, their lifestyle.
