Fishing ban lifted.

The ban to fish was lifted along the coast of orissa.

To promote the breeding of the endangered olive ridley turtles ,orissa govt had banned the fisherman to fish along the coast of oeissa in the costal districts of kendrapara and jagatsinghpur. The ban was on from May 1 to May 31st.

It is believed that the ban helped the turtles to lay their eggs on the coast and as now the breeding season is over , fisherman are freely allowed to row their boats into the sea for fishing again.
