Simlipal tragedy.

12 elephants found dead.

Recent census survey in the simlipal forest of the state found that nearly a dozen of elephants are dead, The number of perished animals may be more as thwe whole area cannot be investigated at a time.

It is believed that the elephants may have been slaughtered by a gang of poachers in connivance with the forest officials as the tusks fetch high prices in the market.
