Attractions in Simlipal National Park

Though Simlipal National Park's main attraction is it's Wildlife Sanctuary, the panoramic view of nature here also attracts tourists from different places. You can say nature is at it's best here.

Some part of the whole area covers green thick forests. It is really amazing to roam in the natural environment. The lands you will walk over are grassy and breathing the fresh air will bring joy to mind and heart. Move your eyes up and enjoy the scenic view of the peaks touching the clouds in the sky. The Rivers, Waterfalls creating foams add more charm to the beauty of the place. There are two famous waterfalls Barehipani Waterfall (400 meters high) and Joranda Waterfall (150 meters high).

The main Attraction of Simlipal National Park are Animals and Birds. There are about 1076 species of mammals live in Simlipal National Park. Around 200 species of birds and 29 types of Reptiles are found in Simlipal National Park. While walking, you may hear roaring of elephant or tigers. If you are lucky, you may see the tiger or other wild animals relaxing in the tree shade. You will find Elephants, Deer, Bear, Crocodiles, Tuskers, Gaur Bison, Other Reptiles, Langurs and many other animals at their best natural behaviours. Watch Birds there, You have a great chance to see a dancing Peacock there or you may spot a Parrot or Myna talking.

Another attraction of the place is the Tribal Society. Thousands of Tribal People of Orissa live in the adjacent villages of Simlipal National Park. So, you can have a knowledge of the culture and lifestyle of the Tribal people.
