Pragyan Ojha - An Upcoming Spinner in Indian Cricket

Pragyan Ojha is a cricketer playing for India. He was born in Khurda district of Orissa state on September 5, 1986. His full name is Pragyan Prayash Ojha. His father's name is Maheswar Ojha who is a state government employee in Orissa and his mother's name is Bidulata Ojha. Pragyan Ojha studied in D.A.V. Public School, Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.

Career of Pragyan Ojha

Pragyan Ojha played cricket for Shahid Sporting Club, Bhubaneswar during his school days. He is a left-arm off spinner. He played in Under-15 interstate cricket tournaments organized by Orissa Cricket Association. When he went to Hyderabad to continue his studies, he played there for Hyderabad Cricket Team during 2000. He is playing in 'Ranji' and is a regular player in Hyderabad Ranji Team.

He had performed well as a bowler in Indian cricket. He played for India in Under-19 category against Kenya and Zimbabwe. His performance against these two countries brought him popularity. He also has played against South Africa took eight wickets in that innings which was an achievement in his career.

He played his first Test Cricket against Srilanka in kanpur. In that series, he took nine wickets in two test matches. He is the third Oriya player to play in Test Matches.

Pragyan Ojha has improved notably in his performance which has placed him in the list of top bowlers in IPL match. At present he is playing for Deccan Chargers team (Hyderabad) in IPL and is performing very well.
