Good news for IT professionals

MindTree and ICICI Bank, have started there construction work in the city Bhubaneswar.
MindTree, a global IT and R&D services company, co-headquartered in Bangalore and Somerset in New Jersey (US), had entered into an MoU with the Orissa government in March 2006 for setting up its software development centre spread over 30 acres.
As per the organization's plan, the centre is set to be operational within 2 years from the start of the construction work.
MindTree Consulting would initially recruit around 1,000 IT people and eventually it will go up to 6000. Its development centre in Bhubaneswar will focus on consultancy , software development and R&D,.
ICICI bank will have around 15000 people in the long run and its eastern regional hub would have a built-up area of 1.5 million sq ft .
