Odisha is ranked third position in producting Solar Electiricty

    Dear Members,

Odisha is adjudged as third largest producer of Solar Electircity in India. Odisha is currently producing 10 MW of Electricity per day by using Solar Energy. Gujurat and Rajasthan are the other states who are leaders in this field. Whereas, Odisha is planning to increase production to 14 MW per day from next year onwards. The effort of Odisha Govt. in this regard is highly appreciable. As availability of coal is going down day by day and Hydro Electricity produced is not sufficient, so solar electricity may prove to be a good alternative.

Isn't it a good news? Members are invited to provide their views regarding it.

Yes, we have to look for generation of other renewable sources of energy such as wind and solar energy. I think really it is a good move by Odisha government which is keeping its interest in the production of solar energy. Yes, Rajsthan and Gujarat may be the leading producer of solar energy because of their geographical conditions. We know that they shared the Thar desert, it is best to utilize this area for the production of solar energy. I think government must support more for the production of such type of renewable source of energy.

Hi Krishna, Thanks for sharing a good news on this platform. However, on this concert many Bollywood Film stars such as Shahrukh Khan and Silpa Shetty also used to uplift the villages by providing solar lights. Gujarat is very famous for solar energy production; there are several projects were implemented by the state govt. Our state govt. should implement the same in unreachable tribal areas and uplift the villages to provide electricity and other benefits.
    Regards,
