As per the information, OPL (Odisha Premier League) was followed by IPL (Indian Premier League)'s Twenty-20 matches. In the month of May,2011 OPL conducted at Odisha with total 12 teams. Where, many number of Odia film stars participated as a brand-ambassador for their teams. The Rourkela team was the winner of OPL-2011 T-20. In its first T-20, OPL organizer OCA (Odisha Cricket Association) earned (1,19,36,737) 1 crore 19 lac 36 thousand and 737 rupees; due to which vigilance targeted to OPL Office. It was only the humor about OPL; there is nothing more news about failing of OPL. OPL-1 was very successful as OCA Secretary Ashirwad Behera says. Viewers enjoyed it very much.

Recently report says that five teams withdrew from the second edition of OPL and only seven teams are participating in OPL-II. So, I feel it is a failure of OPL.
