Dear members,

In many families, The owning of a house is a dream. The cost of constructing of new houses are become higher and it increasing every year. In Tamil Nadu, The cost of a small house having one Hall, One bed Room and Kitchen will be around 40 Lakhs.

I hope the same cost will be there in Odisha. The members can feel free to share their views in this regard.

With regards,

S.Manoharan.

A house price in normal cities at Odish is approx. 10-15 lac; which in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Rourkela, Berhampur, Sambalpur is approx. double or more than that.

The situation is totally changed in Odisha. Within few years the price of land and houses are 20 to 30 times increased. It not only cities like Bhubaneswar and other cities but in rural area also you can find similar effect. It will cost approximately 2 lakhs in rural and 20 - 30 lakhs in cities to buy a small house. You can get a flat of single or double bedrooms in cities, but it costs very high now a days. You have to pay minimum 16 to 20 lakhs for a single bedroom flat and 30 - 40 lakhs for a double bed room flat. I think it is very difficult to own a house for a middle class family in the recent situation. Even it become more difficult to built a house after purchasing land. The rate of plots also increased. Same time the rates of materials like cement and other required material are touched sky. So, without having 20 to 30 lakhs in cash you can not plan to own a house.

With regards,

Vicky
