Now it the time of Panchayat Elections in Odisha. All political parties want to show their strength. Special the Congress party don't want to lose the current situations.
There are totally 1,02,600 candidates filled their nomination for 87,528 ward member(Councilor) posts. Totally 19,856 candidates filled their nomination for the 6,232 Sarapanch posts. Similarly totally 17,113 candidates filled their nomination for the 6,232 Samiti Sabhya posts and totally 2,388 candidates filled their nomination for 854 Zilla Parishad.

Dear Vicky
The Panchayat Elections are very important to a state to make strengthen of the rural and villages. The each and every District administration is held by these Panchayat. The presidents and ward Councillor are the powerful persons in the Panchayat and they have to perform the activities like Road maintenance, Water and electrical supply, Cleaning the street and maintaining the public toilets and etc.. The Panchayat also generates the good revenue by the source of various taxes in the city and village. Many political party nominates their candidate to various posts in Panchayat. Some political party makes corruption in the Panchayat and they doesn't make any activities in some villages.
My kind appeal to the people of Odisha is to be straightforward and elect the right persons to the various Panchayats irrespective of political party strength. This will make the corruption free Panchayat and give a chance to get all the required facility in the rural and village.
