Niranjan pattnayak a big name of congres party. He is the new pcc secratary of odisha congres. He is a strong leader of Ramchandrapur of Keonjhar district. He was many times minister in orissa assembly in congres rulling time. He is the brother of Somyaranjan pattanayak, and also the son of law of J B Pattanayak.

AICC leader Sonia Gandhi at last recruited Niranjan Pattnaik as Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). Mr. Pattnaik was allegedly resigned due to 'habitual bribe giver' at the time of Janaki Ballabh Pattnaik as CM. However, after getting into Supreme Court he bailed from the case.
