About KIIT University
The full form of KIIT is Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. The founder of KIIT is Dr. Achyuta Samanta. KIIT was not a university in its early age but now it is the first world class university in Orissa. This institution was established in 1997 and got University grant in 2004. This small engineering college got University grant after 6 years of its commencement. KIIT University also got the record in Limca books for youngest institution to be a university. This university is spread over 25 sq. km. of land. The University has 22 departments which are offering more than 50 programs. The teaching facility in KIIT university is also of international level. KIIT University is approved by NAAC of UGC and NBA of AICTE. Now a days over 17000 students are continuing their studies in different courses. The position of KIIT among all national level Universities is 17 and fifth position among all National level Self-Financing Universities.
